Cecco di Toscana - IGT Red Wine - Harvest 2016
Only 458 bottles produced
Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
Harvest: by hand
Winemaking: in concrete vats with 40 days maceration on the skins
Aging: 36 months. 60% of the volume in concrete eggs, 30% in terracotta amphora, 10% in ceramic eggs
Tasting Notes: The color is bright red with ruby reflections. The nose is intense, complex, with crunchy fruity aromas of plum and cherry, but also of dried rose, white pepper and licorice. At the palate it presents a perfect balance between the preponderant acidity typical of Radda and the elegance of the tannins, the result of a perfect ripeness of the grapes during the harvest. Cecco is sharp and complex in the mouth as at nose, but fresh tobacco notes also stand out. Harmonious and savory. Endless persistence.
